About

Bigelow Village was founded by the Bigelow Family in the mid 1940’s, and has evolved and is now further expanded under the care of Bigelow heir Bonnie Besse. A community for persons 55 and better located in beautiful Rutland, Massachusetts, the property is approximately one half mile from the local public library, pharmacy, and other ammenities.

All new homes at Bigelow Village are built by Ritz-Craft Homes, and are designed to your exact specifications. These homes come standard with many wonderful features as well as with a multitude of available customizable options. Click here to visit Bigelow Village “Our Homes” page to learn more about the quality homes they have been building for more than 30 years.

As Bonnie mentions in the video, Bigelow Village is a land-leased community. This means that the home owner owns their home outright, but the land is leased thus affording home owners freedom from the associated property taxes. This arrangement maximizes the affordability of a new and feature-filled custom built home. Of course, you will also enjoy the piece of mind that comes with joining our community of friends at Bigelow Village.
