“To have grown up in Rutland as a child was wonderful, we could ride our bikes all over the place and we only had to be home when the street lights came on. My sister and I had to be home for dinner each night when my Dad came home from the ‘Mom & Pop’ grocery store they owned.
During the summers we went swimming, horseback riding, water skiing, and most of all just having fun. The winters our family went skiing, skating, and I had homework and lots of it!
While Rutland has grown, it still maintains the same small New England town charm that I grew up with. We have a wonderful library, two churches, a very active Community Center, Drug Store and lots of community organizations. The 4th of July Parade in Rutland is phenomenal and the Fireworks are just amazing!”
